“A hospital worker and Korean indie creator in the UK, building a handmade animation universe at night, where two characters were born to comfort people who feel small or tired. Drawn in cafés and sketchbooks, growing into a gentle IP.”

By day, Saeho Oh works in a hospital. By night, he builds a gentle animation universe.

Hodog & Takku are two original characters created to bring warmth, rest, and quiet comfort to people who feel overwhelmed, tired, or unseen. They were born from sketchbooks, cafés, and late-night drawing sessions, slowly growing into a handmade animation IP filled with softness and care.

“I wanted to create characters that feel like a warm pillow, Something you can lean on emotionally. Something that says, ‘You’re allowed to breathe." - Saeho Oh

Inspired by classic hand-drawn animation and storytelling traditions such as Disney and Studio Ghibli, Hodog & Takku focus less on spectacle and more on presence. Their world is slow, gentle, and emotionally safe.

What makes this project unique is not just the art style, but its origin.

A hospital worker building an animation universe after work, not for fame, but for comfort.

Hodog & Takku were created for:

• People who feel small

• People who feel tired

• People who need quiet encouragement

• People who need something soft in a loud world

The creator hopes that through Hodog & Takku many people will feel the warmth, joy and love they need.
